OK I’m still working on my sewing room redo. This is the room above the garage. The room that is commonly known as ” The Bonus Room.” The closet is almost too small to call it a 4th bedroom. And because its over the garage it’s noisey when someone opens the garage door early in the morning or late at night. Plus its kinda chilly in the winter and hot in the summer compared to the other rooms upstairs. I guess thats because the garage is not insulated like the other areas on the main floor. For the 4 years that we have lived here it has been my sewing room. Its a nice room. It has a really cute little alcove with a dormer window. There is a beautiful weeping cherry tree just outside the window. I have just given it a fresh coat of pale pink paint…yes you can call me crazy to choose pink for a house I’m about to put up for sale. I guess I just really needed a happy color. How can you not smile in a pink room…baby girls, cotten candy, pink frosting on a cupcake, the blossems on a cherry tree….all happy things! Here is a little preview. More to come in a few days.
The alcove.I draped sheer panels in front of the window and up across the ceiling and tied them off to the side with a pretty sheer ribbon. Since I use the room as a sewing room I decided to display my iron dress form and my lastest sewing project…Ellys pink dress.
I also found these pillows at Hobby Lobby that I absolutely love…on sale 40% off so I will use them on the daybed…the thinking couch as I like to call it. In this room I can sew, work on my blog and think. I’m a modern woman…a multi-tasker!
